Zach understands the financial struggles of creative professionals and entertainers and Zach attempts to keep his fees as affordable as possible while still being compensated fairly.
Zach's fees are based on the value he brings and the amount of time he spends working for you. You'll pay either a flat fee, an hourly fee, or a small percentage of the money you earn as a result of the work we do for you. Zach tries to charge flat fees for as many things as possible to be transparent about pricing and provide a greater value to you. Whether a flat fee or hourly, as a new client you'll pay Zach a minimum $275.00 charge each month he does work for you, which is equal to 1 full hour of work at his hourly rate. Specific costs and and any additional pricing details will be provided after your consultation and included in your attorney-client engagement letter agreement.
If you cannot afford Zach's fees, Zach offers payment plans and options when possible. In addition, a lot of Zach's creative and entertainer clients have their legal fees paid for or reimbursed by the label, publisher, etc., that the client's negotiating with as an additional part of their signing advance. Finally, Zach will in rare occasions take clients on a contingency fee basis, taking instead a small percentage of your earnings from any of your career or business deals or activities we help you with until you can afford to pay the larger amount owed.
Payment plans and modifications are assessed on a case by case basis and Zach will be happy to discuss any potential questions and options with you if needed.
We do not pitch, shop, or plug unsolicited songs or music, scripts, books, screenplays, or any other creative works to our current or former clients, as well as any outside publishers, labels, studios, producers, artists, entertainers, etc. We work with talented clients who already have interest or past success in their industry. If you have interest, offers, or past success, we'd be happy to help you.
You might think that you can save money by doing some things yourself or just using some AI tools. Hiring our firm gives you the knowledge and confidence that you're getting the best advice and representation you can from experienced and professional experts and our resources and connections. In addition, the firm carries insurance for your protection.
If you were to try to handle things yourself or use AI instead, you risk not recognizing costly issues or missing out on opportunities to maximize your earnings potential. While using things like AI can be a helpful tool sometimes, as a non-lawyer you have no way to know whether what you're getting is accurate or in your best interests. In addition, in our experience, you risk paying much more later on to hire an attorney to attempt to correct any errors or issues caused by doing things yourself or relying on AI. It is significantly more affordable to hire an attorney early on than it is to risk doing it yourself or relying on an AI tool and then needing to hire an attorney later.
During your 15 minute free consultation, you'll get to confidentially talk with Zach about your entertainment industry and any related goals, issues, and concerns. Zach will discuss with you whether he's able to help you if possible after a conflict of interest check, some rough initial thoughts on potential options and plans, and when possible, some estimates of potential costs to you. However, until you officially become a client by signing your fee agreement, he will not be able to provide you with any specific legal advice or provide you with direct or definitive solutions, plans, and answers to necessarily all of your questions during your free consultation.
The consultation is 100% free with no charge to you as long as you actually attend your scheduled consultation or don't cancel or reschedule with less than 24 hours notice before your scheduled consultation, and there's absolutely no obligation to continue on and become a client simply because you've scheduled or attended a free consultation.
